Parivodic told Tanjug news agency that the conference showed that Serbia, which receives between €700 million and €800 million in international assistance a year, is faced with similar problems as most countries that receive international aid.
He said, however, that Serbia has made much more progress in developing instruments to direct that assistance properly and achieve satisfactory results.
Parivodic added that the Paris Declaration was adopted at the forum, and that it defines concrete activities of donors and receivers with the aim of improving cooperation so that international assistance can be used more efficiently.
The 2nd Forum of the International Economic Relations Ministries, organised by the World Bank, the OECD, and the French government, gathered delegations from more than 60 countries as well as representatives of 30 international developmental and financial institutions.
