Average gross salary in January stands at 20,898 dinars

An average gross salary in January stood at 20,898 dinars, down 17.7 percent in nominal terms and 19.47 percent in real terms against December, the Statistics Office said in a statement.
An average salary without taxes and contributions totalled 14,263 dinars, down 17.77 percent in nominal and some 19.54 percent in real terms.
Average salaries in industrial sectors amounted to 20,396 dinars, down 12.41 percent and 14.3 percent in nominal and real terms respectively. January’s gross salaries in industrial sectors averaged 13,925 dinars, down 12.52 percent in nominal terms and 14.4 percent in real terms.
Average gross salaries in non-industrial sectors stood at 22,059 dinars, down 27.14 percent and 28.71 percent in nominal and real terms respectively. Net salaries in non-industrial sectors went down by 27.16 percent and 28.73 percent in nominal and real terms respectively to 15,043 dinars.
