Initiative to sign bilateral agreements with Egypt in judiciary

Minister of Justice and Public Administration Nikola Selakovic and Egyptian Ambassador to Serbia Aly Galal Abdelaziz Mohamed Bassiouny agreed at today’s meeting that the two states are linked by an extremely rich cultural tradition.
The Ministry says in a statement that Minister Selakovic noted that Serbia strives to become an EU member, adding that this does not mean it will neglect other friendly nations, such as Egypt.
He recalled that his Ministry has launched an initiative to close bilateral agreements in civil and criminal matters, in terms of extradition and mutual enforcement of court rulings in criminal matters.
The Egyptian Ambassador said he will bring this issue before the relevant organs in Egypt so that further steps can be taken to close these agreements, the statement adds.
