The Ministry of European Integration announced that Serbia has today submitted its fourth payment request to the European Commission under the Reform and Growth Facility (RGF), established by the European Union Growth Plan for the Western Balkans.
The fourth, financially largest payment request to date, covers 22 reform steps, seven of which are being reported for the first time, while the remaining 15 steps are being resubmitted as part of the evaluation procedure. The value of the payment request is more than €108 million.
The request includes reform steps in all four areas of the Reform Agenda: business environment and private sector development, green and digital transitions, human capital development, and the rule of law and fundamental rights.
The implementation of the activities envisaged by the Reform Agenda represents one of the key mechanisms for accelerating the process of European integration, contributing to the strengthening of institutions, improving the business environment and the quality of life of citizens, so that the benefits of the European Union accession process are visible and tangible in the shortest possible time.
