At a meeting with Head of the EIB Western Balkans Division Dominique Courbin and EIB Loan Officer for Serbia and Macedonia Dubravka Djedovic, Nikolic voiced his expectation that their cooperation will continue and be further improved in the coming period.
He said that one of the Ministry of Justice’s priorities is a comprehensive court reform through amendments of the Law on the seats and territorial jurisdictions of courts and public prosecutors’ offices and that the working group, tasked with drafting amendments to this law, will present its first conclusions around mid-October.
Once we establish the network of courts and prosecutors’ offices, we will have the precise number of the required facilities and a clear plan to enable normal working conditions for employees in these facilities so that the availability of judicial organs to citizens can be increased, Nikolic underlined.
EIB representatives voiced their pleasure at the fact that the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration intends to continue with the realisation of this project shortly, as the project’s basic goal is to raise the level of efficiency of courts and prosecutors’ offices, reads a statement by the Ministry.
