The constitution of the Serbian parliament was completed last night with the formation of parliamentary committees and delegations and the election of five deputy speakers of the country’s supreme legislative body, which was preceded by the election of Nebojsa Stefanovic as the speaker of the parliament.

The newly-elected deputy speakers are Gordana Comic (DS), Konstantin Arsenovic (SPS-PUPS-JS), Nenad Popovic (DSS), Vesna Kovac (URS) and Zarko Korac (LDP).
Jana Ljubicic was elected secretary-general of the parliament.
The parliament constituted a total of 19 committees, along with the Committee for the rights of the child, which will be a separate parliamentary body.
The parliament also elected 69 members and deputy members of nine permanent delegations.
