The statement adds that Dulic will attend plenary meetings and roundtable discussions and conduct additional talks about the conference’s final document, conclusions and measures to realise achieved agreements.
A final document will be adopted at the end of the conference which will define the policy and activities in terms of sustainable development and green economy for the next ten years.
“Rio + 20” will gather representatives from all UN members and key social groups: economy, local authorities, NGOs, workers and unions, scientific communities, farmers.
The results of two decades of global sustainable development will be contemplated and assessed at the conference, while two topics will be discussed in great detail: “Green Economy” and “Institutional Framework of Sustainable Development in Future”.
Least developed and developing states are particularly interested in advancing projects of support by developed states and financing concrete activities, while developed states have voiced their readiness to increase the percentage of GDP which they allocate for international and bilateral assistance to least developed and developing countries.
The Serbian delegation’s stances are generally in line with those of the EU, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEDP).
The Serbian delegation will advocate the realisation of the millennium Development Goals and the realisation of goals of sustainable development and agreements reached at previous summits, the statement adds.
