Inauguration of Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic held

President of the Republic of Serbia Tomislav Nikolic stated today that the European path of Serbia is the road of future, that he will cooperate with everyone in the interest of Serbia and that in the region he will conduct a policy of peace, stability and cooperation.

Nikolic said at the inauguration ceremony and reception held at the Presidency of Serbia that he will build friendships around the world, that the European path of Serbia is the road of future and economic prosperity, and that as president of Serbia he will help Serbia continue on that road.
He underlined that in the region he will conduct a policy of peace, stability and cooperation, with the resolution of all differences and problems through peaceful and democratic means, first of all through dialogue.
The President of Serbia said that he will protect the Constitution, respect and safeguard the territorial integrity of Serbia and try to unite all political forces in the country in order to identify and implement a common policy on the issue of Kosovo-Metohija.
Nikolic underlined that he will dedicate all his time, strength, knowledge and energy to Serbia, its development and welfare of the citizens, and highlighted that every discussion with officials from the world will start and end with a plea that their investors come to Serbia.
He thanked former Serbian president Boris Tadic, who performed that function in the previous period, and European Commissioner for Enlargement Stefan Fule for always supporting Serbia.
The inauguration, which began with the playing of the anthem "God of Justice" and the anthem of Europe, is taking place 11 days after Nikolic took the oath of office in the Serbian parliament.
The inauguration was attended by European Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule, Turkish Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Naci Koru and Italian Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs Marta Dassu.
The ceremony was also attended by Montenegrin President Filip Vujanovic, President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, member of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina Nebojsa Radmanovic, leaders of parliamentary political parties in Serbia, religious officials and representatives of the diplomatic corps.
