After the verification of their mandates, the MPs took an oath that reads: “I swear that I will perform the duty of the deputy in a dedicated, honest and conscientious way and according to the Constitution, that I will defend human and minority rights and civil liberties and serve the citizens of Serbia, truth and justice at the best of my knowledge and ability" .
The constitutive session of the Serbian parliament began a little after 10.00 by playing the anthem of Serbia “God of Justice“, and the MPs were received at the entrance to House of the Serbian parliament at Nikola Pasic Square by the Serbian Army Guard and the red carpet.
The session was interrupted shortly afterwards so that a three-member verification commission would verify the conformity of the certificates on the election of MPs with the report of the Serbian Electoral Commission on the elections.
The verification commission confirmed the mandates of all MPs, after which the session was resumed, chaired by the oldest MP in this parliament composition Zaharije Trnavcevic.

The parliament has been constituted by confirming the mandates of two-thirds of MPs, which ended the mandate of the previous composition.
The new composition is made of 73MPs from coalition "Let’s Get Serbia Moving", 67 from coalition "Choice for a Better Life ", 44 from coalition SPS–PUPS–JS, 21 from DSS, 19 from coalition "U-Turn", 16 from the United Regions of Serbia, 5 from the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians, 2 from the party of Sulejman Ugljanin and 1 from the each of the following: the list “All Together ", the Albanian Coalition of Presevo Valley and the party "None of the Above“.
