Second round of presidential election held today

The citizens of Serbia in the country and abroad are choosing today the President of Serbia in the second round of the presidential election at 8,390 polling places.
A total of 6,771,479 citizens of Serbia have the right to vote and choose between the two candidates who won the biggest number of votes in the first round 15 days ago – the candidate of the list ”Choice for a Better Life” Boris Tadic and candidate of the coalition "Let’s Get Serbia Moving " Tomislav Nikolic.
In Vojvodina, in addition to voting at the presidential election, citizens will also choose deputies for the provincial assembly whose mandates will be distributed according to the majority system.
The voting process will be completed by the choice of the head of state, deputies for the Vojvodina Assembly and the final election of deputies at the local level, where elections are being repeated at some polling stations.
The deadline for setting up a new composition of the Serbian parliament is June 9 and of the new government September 5.
