Director of the Serbian Statistical Office and a RIK member Dragan Vukmirovic stated that based on 25.98% of processed voting stations, the Democratic Party candidate Boris Tadic won 24.81% of votes at the presidential election and the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) candidate Tomislav Nikolic 24.71% of votes.
Candidate of the coalition of the Socialist Party of Serbia, the Party of United Pensioners of Serbia and United Serbia (the SPS-PUPS-JS coalition) Ivica Dacic won 15.76% of votes.
The Democratic Party of Serbia’s (DSS) candidate Vojislav Kostunica won 7.34% of votes, the United Regions of Serbia’s (URS) candidate Zoran Stankovic 6.99%, and Preokret (Turnover) candidate Cedomir Jovanovic 4.61%.
The Serbian Radical Party’s presidential candidate Jadranka Seselj won 3.76% of votes and Dveri candidate Vladan Glisic 2.32%.
The Movement of Workers and Peasant’s candidate Zoran Dragisic won 1.71% of votes while the candidate of a group of citizens Muamer Zukorlic won 1.52% of votes.
The candidate of the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians, Istvan Pastor won 1.40% of votes.
Less than one percent of votes were won by Danica Grujicic, candidate of the Social-Democratic Alliance of Serbia – 0.77%.
RIK announced the results of parliamentary elections based on 25.30% of processed voting stations.
The Choice for a Better Life – Boris Tadic won 22.09% at parliamentary elections, Let’s Get Serbia Moving – Tomislav Nikolic 23.53%, and Ivica Dacic SPS–PUPS–JS 16.02%.
The DSS – Vojislav Kostunica won 7.07%, URS – Mladjan Dinkic 6.41%, Preokret – Cedomir Jovanovic 5.68% and SRS – Vojislav Seselj 4.51% of votes.
Dveri for the Life of Serbia won 3.49% of votes, the Movement of Workers and Peasant 1.66% and the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians – Istvan Pastor 1.34%.
Parties with less than five percent are the Party of Democratic Action of Sandzak – Sulejman Ugljanin 0.95%, All Together 0.65%, the Communist Party Josip Broz 0.65%, the Coalition of Albanians from the Presevo Valley 0.48% and the Social-Democratic Alliance of Serbia – Nebojsa Lekovic 0.45%.
None of the Available Answers won 0.47%, the Reformist Party Milan Visnjic 0.21%, and the Montenegrin Party Nenad Stevovic 0.09%, which is the lowest result at elections.
There were 4.19% of invalid voting papers at the parliamentary elections and 4.30% at the presidential elections.
The results from Kosovo-Metohija are expected today, where 32.17% of citizens voted.
