The Autonomous Province of Vojvodina will own second-class roads, canal network which is not on the waterways and facilities that are built with funds for capital investment.
The local self-government will own streets, squares, parks, municipal roads and unclassified roads.
Public property are natural resources, goods of common interest that are defined as public property by law, things that are used by bodies and organisations of the Republic of Serbia, the province and local self-government.
This includes water, waterways, mineral resources, groundwater resources, reserves of mineral raw materials and other, and the law stipulates that a concession or the right of use can be given for a public asset, and the fee for these belongs to the republic, province or a local self-government in whose area this asset is located.
The Law on public property regulates the management of goods of common interest which are in general use, such as forests, water and forest land, protected natural resources, cultural goods in public ownership, etc., and it also stipulates that the network is a good of common interest which is used for the flow of matter or energy for the purpose of their distribution to users.
The law was voted for by 133 deputies.
