Speaking at a session of the Parliamentary Committee for European Integration, Djelic voiced his expectation that dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina will be resumed in the days ahead, once the situation at the administrative line returns to the way it was before
Pristina’s unilateral intervention.
Serbia will show that it is ready to negotiate under such conditions and to find an adequate solution.
As for the issues of the customs seal and the CEFTA Agreement, signed by the countries in the region and UNMIK/Kosovo, Djelic recalled that international agreements cannot be altered without the consent of signatory states.
Unilateral acts bear no fruit, and Serbia is ready to seek a compromise solution to the issue of the customs seal, but without breaking the Constitution, he reiterated.
With its unilateral moves, Pristina is rendering the concept of dialogue pointless because it is attempting to change the situation in the field regardless of the negotiating process.
