Assistant Director of the Serbian Statistics Office Ema Jovanovic told a press conference that processing industry in October rose 20.2 percent against 2003 average.
Industrial production rose 6.4 percent since the beginning of the year when compared to the same period of 2003.
Ore and stone extraction grew 7 percent, while production and distribution of energy, gas and water was up 4.3 percent.
The production of intermediary goods, excluding energy, jumped 26.8 percent, whereas the production of durable consumer goods rose 22.8 percent and non-durable consumer goods 17.6 percent. Energy production recorded a 6 percent rise, while capital goods grew 10.8 percent.
