At the occasion of the presentation of the report on the progress of West Balkan countries today, the European Commission proposed the implementation of the Transitional Trade Agreement between Serbia and the EU
The report says that cooperation between Belgrade and the Hague Tribunal has improved, however Ratko Mladic and Goran Hadzic have still not been apprehended.
The European Commission has proposed the implementation of the Transitional Trade Agreement with Serbia to EU countries because of Serbia’s committed efforts towards European integration and improved cooperation with the Hague Tribunal.
The report also states that Serbia has shown a strong commitment to European integration by unilaterally implementing the Transitional Trade Agreement with the EU and carrying out major political reforms in harmony with European standards.
The European Commission states that Serbia has also made efforts to implement an ambitious European integration programme and has the administrative capacities to meet the criteria for EU integration.
Strengthening the rule of law and accelerating economic reforms remain important goals, concludes the report.
