Zorana Markovic appointed director of Anti-Corruption Agency

The Anti-Corruption Agency’s board president Cedomir Cupic stated at a press conference that Zorana Markovic has been appointed agency director and Vladimir Jankovic deputy director.
Cupic said that the candidates were elected solely on the basis of their knowledge, capabilities and experience.
Zorana Markovic is a lawyer and is currently working as Deputy Director of Invest Vertikala Konsultanti. Her mandate in the Anti-Corruption Agency will last five years.
As of January 1, 2010, the Anti-Corruption Agency will monitor financial reports of political parties instead of the Serbian parliament’s Finance Committee and will take over all duties of the Conflict of Interest Committee.
