Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Miroljub Labus said during a meeting with the ambassadors of EU member countries today that the international community must be more resolute in tackling the Kosovo problem and added that fresh political solutions that would ensure safety for Serbs and other non-Albanians to the province require an open dialogue.

The EU ambassadors expressed concern over the recent upsurge of violence in Kosovo and agreed that intensive talks are a precondition for restoring stability in the province.
The meeting also touched on the economic situation in Serbia and further steps to bring the country closer to the EU. The participants in the meeting also announced the adoption of an annual report on stabilisation and association with the EU.
The ambassadors hailed the Serbian government's resolve to speed up economic reforms, create a better investment environment, and build an entrepreneurial spirit in the country.
