Members of the High Judiciary Council are Jelena Borovac, judge of the Belgrade Commercial Court Mladen Nikolic, judge of the Belgrade District Court Vucko Mircic, judge of the Novi Sad District Court Djurdjina Bjelobaba, judge of the Krusevac Municipal Court Biljana Toškovic.
Members of the High Judiciary Council are also President of the High Court of Cassation, Minister of Justice and President of Parliament’s Judiciary Committee.
State Council of Prosecutors comprises Deputy State Public Prosecutor Djordje Ostojic, War Crimes Prosecutor Vladimir Vukcevic, Deputy District Public Prosecutor in Belgrade Sasa Ivanic, Deputy District Public Prosecutor in Novi Sad Ivana Letica-Pavic, Municipal Public Prosecutor in Nova Varos Ljubisa Dragasevic, Deputy Municipal Public Prosecutor in Kragujevac Nebojsa Cirjakovic and Professor of the Belgrade Faculty of Law Milan Skulic.
Also members of the State Council of Prosecutors are the State Public Prosecutor, Minister of Justice and President of Parliament’s Judiciary Committee.
Other candidates for the two bodies did not receive enough votes.
Under the Law on the High Judiciary Council and the Law on State Council of Prosecutors, members of these two bodies are to be appointed within 90 days from the coming into force of this law, i.e., by the end of March 2009.
