Banjaluka, March 15, 2004 - Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Miroljub Labus visited Sarajevo and Banjaluka today for talks with top officials of Bosnia-Herzegovina and Republika Srpska.

Labus told Bosnia-Herzegovina's Council of Ministers Chairman Adnan Terzic that the Serbian government will seek to improve relations with neighboring countries and strengthen economic and political ties with Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Terzic and Labus recalled that a free trade agreement has been signed between Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina and added that a progress has been made in trade between the two countries.
Labus said that it is in the interest of both countries to continue and speed up European integration and he welcomed the setting up of a joint business council at an investment conference in Mostar last month.
Terzic said Bosnia-Herzegovina is willing to continue political dialogue with Serbia on all open issues as well as to improve economic cooperation.
Labus also met with members of Bosnia-Herzegovina's Presidency, Sulejman Tihic and Borislav Pravec, and announced a meeting of the joint business council in Belgrade in May.
Labus discussed concrete issues related to energy, transport, and tourism with Bosnia-Herzegovina's Minister of Foreign Trade and International Economic Relations Dragan Doko and Prime Minister of the BiH Federation Ahmet Hadzipasic.
In Banjaluka, Labus spoke to Republika Srpska's Prime Minister Dragan Mikerevic on improving economic and financial cooperation between the two countries.
He also met with Bosnia-Herzegovina's Minister of Foreign Affairs Mladen Ivanic and Republika Srpska President Dragan Cavic as well as with Republika Srpska Parliament Speaker Dragan Kalinic.
