Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić sent a telegram of condolences to Minister of National Defence of the Hellenic Republic Nikolaos Dendias on the tragic death of pilots of the Air Force of the Greek Armed Forces.
"I received with great sadness the news of the death of pilots of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of the Hellenic Republic during an air show at the Tanagra military base near Athens.
On behalf of the members of the Ministry of Defence and myself, I would like to express my most sincere condolences to the families of the deceased pilots, as well as to the members of the Ministry of National Defence and the Armed Forces, and to the friendly people of Greece on the occasion of this tragic event.
The accident in which the pilots were killed while performing a task once again reminds us and warns us of the risks which our members encounter every day while performing complex and responsible tasks.
In this difficult and painful moment, I want you to know that all the members of the Ministry of Defence, as well as the citizens of the Republic of Serbia, share their sorrow with you, with the families of the dead and the friendly people of Greece.
Deeply convinced that God will grant them a paradise settlement, please convey our sincere condolences to the families of the fallen pilots," the telegram reads.
