Parliament adopts amendments to penal code

Serbian MPs today adopted the Law on amendments to the penal code, which puts off the implementation of the code until December 31, 2010.
The law was adopted at a special parliament session summoned at the government’s demand, at which the document was the only item on the agenda.
A total of 132 MPs voted for postponing the enforcement of the penal code. The law will be put into force the day it is published in the Official Herald.
