The set of judicial laws regulates the organisation of courts, judges, the High Judiciary Council, the public prosecutors’ offices, the State Council of Prosecutors, the headquarters and scope of activity of courts and public prosecutor’s offices.
MPs also adopted the amendments to the law on misdemeanours.
By adopting the bill amending the law on deposit insurance, MPs increased the insured savings deposit from €3,000 to €50,000.
Parliament also adopted the law on public procurements, one of the laws needed for Serbia’s speedier EU integration, which will ensure a more efficient implementation of public procurements, boost competitiveness and provide mechanisms for fighting corruption.
Parliament also adopted amendments to the law on the travel document, which postponed the expiry date of old passports until the end of 2009, also amendments to the law on civil servants, thus concluding the vote on all items on the agenda of the session which began on September 5.
At the new session MPs began debating the 2009 budget bill.
