Since the beginning of the session on November 5 until December 17, MPs considered 13 bills and the government withdrew the bill on associations from parliament procedure.
MPs will vote on seven judicial laws concerning judicial reform, the setting up of new standards for the appointment of judges and a new judicial network.
The bills cover judges, the High Judiciary Council, the public prosecutors’ offices, the State Council of Prosecutors, the headquarters and scope of activity of courts and public prosecutor’s offices and amendments to the law on misdemeanour.
Parliament will also vote on the bill on public procurement.
By adopting the bill amending the Law on deposit insurance, MPs should make it possible for the government measures to be implemented, including the increase of insured deposit from €3,000 to €50,000.
Parliament is also to adopt the Law on passports, by which expiry of old passports should be extended by end-2009.
MPs will also vote on the bill amending the Law on public servants.
A new parliamentary session is to start tomorrow at 2 pm, during which MPs will debate the 2009 budget bill.
