Director of the Serbian Privatisation Agency Miodrag Djordjevic said today that in the period from July 15 until September 15, the Agency sold 30 companies through public auction as well as three companies through tender procedure, including one that underwent restructuring.
Djordjevic told a press conference that the auctioned companies made up 806 million dinars in revenues, while those sold in tenders yielded 636 million dinars. Thus, more than 1.4 billion dinars went to state coffers, along with the foreign capital inflow of around €1.2 billion.
Djordjevic said that it is expected that tenders for breweries in Vrsac, Jagodina and Belgrade will be announced soon. He also expressed hope that Vladicin Han-based Sloga, Bela Palanka’s Ukras and Krusevac beverage maker Rubin will be sold by the end of September.
He said that the Agency will announce a public invitation for sale of road-construction companies from Belgrade, Kragujevac and Vranje. He aslo said that preparations for the sale of Trstenik-based Prva Petoletka are underway.
