Cvetkovic gives keynote address

Serbian parliament Speaker Slavica Djukic Dejanovic called a one-hour recess at today’s parliament session as candidate for Serbian prime minister, Mirko Cvetkovic, gave a keynote address and proposed members of his Cabinet.
Cvetkovic said that his Cabinet will have a first deputy prime minister, three deputy prime ministers and 25 ministries, of which one will be without portfolio.
The prime ministerial nominee said that key elements of the programme of his Cabinet will be European integration, non-acceptance of Kosovo-Metohija’s independence, boosting the economy, increasing social responsibility, strengthening the fight against corruption and crime, and respect for international obligations.
After the recess, the parliament will discuss the programme and composition of the new government.
