Six deputy parliament speakers elected

Serbian parliament members elected today six deputy speakers by a unanimous vote. Continuation of the inaugural session has been scheduled for tomorrow at 12 noon so that changes in the structure of parliamentary committees could be prepared.

The deputy speakers elected are Gordana Comic from the Democratic Party, Nikola Novakovic from G17 Plus, Natasa Jovanovic and Bozidar Delic from the Serbian Radical Party, Radojko Obradovic from the Democratic Party of Serbia and Judita Popovic from the Liberal Democratic Party
Parliament Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic halted today’s session and after a longer recess, after which the session was supposed to be continued, she informed parliament members around 4 pm that due to announcements that new caucuses will be formed, technical services have to prepare proposals for changes in the composition of parliamentary committees and that is why the session will be continued tomorrow.
Apart from examining proposals for members of parliamentary committees, the last item on the agenda of the inaugural session will be the appointment of parliament secretary, and the proposed candidate is Veljko Odalovic.
