Vojislav Kostunica
Kostunica told the Tanjug news agency that no country has ever been requested to establish good neighbourly relations with part of its own territory and that Serbia can give only one answer, and that is that according to international law and the Serbian Constitution, Kosovo is a province within Serbia.
It is also unacceptable that Rupel rejects all attempts to resume talks on Kosovo’s status, since according to him Kosovo is definitely independent, the Serbian Prime Minister said.
He recalled that a vast majority of countries in the world do not recognise Kosovo’s unilateral independence, on the contrary, they recognise Serbia in its legitimate, internationally recognised borders, with Kosovo as part of it.
Rupel may disapprove of that reality, but he surely cannot change it, Kostunica underlined.
