Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, attended today the signing of contracts for the allocation of five drinking water tankers to the municipalities of Sjenica, Gadžin Han, Doljevac, Surdulica and Bosilegrad, for which funds were provided under the Programme for Support for the Improvement of the Development of Significantly Underdeveloped Municipalities for 2026, in the amount of RSD 90 million.

Macut emphasised that ensuring a stable and regular water supply is one of the basic prerequisites for improving living conditions, strengthening local communities and supporting economic and demographic development.
He added that the Government of Serbia remains committed to the policy of balanced regional development and will continue to support municipalities that need assistance the most, through specific investments and projects that bring direct benefits to citizens, with the aim of reducing regional differences and creating better conditions for the population to live, work and stay in those areas.
