Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, met today at the Palace of Serbia with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić and Police Director, Police General Dragan Vasiljević, to discuss the current security situation in the country and the challenges faced by police officers.

Macut expressed gratitude to the police for their engagement in preserving state security and public law and order, stressing that they have the full support of the Government of Serbia when it comes to preserving stability and protecting citizens.
The meeting, at which the results of police work in the previous period were analysed, was also attended by heads of organisational units at the headquarters of the Police Directorate.
The leadership of the Ministry of the Interior presented a report on the measures undertaken and confirmed that the security situation in the country is stable and under control.
