Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, spoke today with President of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates Saqr Ghobash about further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
Macut emphasised that Serbia and the United Arab Emirates foster relations based on mutual trust, friendship and a shared commitment to development, which is confirmed by numerous successfully implemented projects in the previous period.
He assessed that the overall trade in goods is at a high level and noted that there is room for its increase, especially through the opportunities provided by the Free Trade Agreement.
The Prime Minister said that Serbia highly appreciates the support and partnership of the UAE, as one of the most important political and economic partners of our country in the Middle East.
Ghobash noted that relations between Serbia and the UAE are extremely good and pointed out the importance of further strengthening cooperation in areas of common interest.
He proposed that in the coming period, special attention be paid to education and artificial intelligence.
The interlocutors discussed opportunities for further enhancing economic cooperation, trade, investments, as well as cooperation in the areas of innovation, energy and infrastructure.
