Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica announced that since cooperation with the Hague tribunal has been the measure for continuation of cooperation with Serbia, the EU must state its official position on the tribunal’s acquittal of Ramus Haradinaj.
As the Hague tribunal has made a dark decision by officially confirming Ramus Haradinaj as innocent and not a war criminal, it is necessary that we now hear the EU's position on how the tribunal mocks justice, stressed the Serbian Prime Minister in a written statement.
If the EU thinks that after the Haradinaj acquittal the Hague tribunal will remain a trustworthy and authoritative institution which can impose conditions to assess Serbia’s cooperation with the EU, then this must be stated loud and clear.
Thus the EU would be taking responsibility for the tribunal’s decision to declare Ramus Haradinaj innocent. Each and every Serbian citizen knows very well that with this sentence the Hague tribunal has awarded crime and humiliated the innocent Serbian victims who lost their lives at the hands of Ramus Haradinaj, concluded the Prime Minister.
