According to a statement, Argus will carry out the research under the Aqua Terra project, which involves 46 European countries, within the EU's Sixth Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development.
The research will be carried out on the river Danube between Vienna, Austria, and Calafat, Romania, from August 20 to September 8.
The areas around major cities such as Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, Novi Sad, and Belgrade will take priority in the research, reads the statement.
The expert team on board comprises biologists, chemists, and hydrologists from Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and Serbia-Montenegro, according to the statement.
