“The part of the international community which has adopted a policy of violence against Serbia has decided to resort to physical violence against Serbs in northern Kosovo precisely on March 17. The basic aim of the UN Mission is to prevent any form of violence in Kosovo-Metohija, not to terrorise and use force against the Serbs, and because of this we wish to convey our strong protest.
We have begun consultations with the Russians about a necessary joint reaction in order to instantly stop every form of violence against Serbs. The Security Council bears full responsibility to provide safety to Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija in accordance with Resolution 1244 and must take all necessary steps,” reads the statement by the Serbian Prime Minister.
