"The elections on May 11 are of special importance for Serbia as it is crucial that citizens decide and vote for a state-making and nationally responsible government that will have the strength to fight for preservation of Kosovo, for the country’s stable and successful economic development, a government that will negotiate with the EU on equal terms on the association of the whole country in Europe, and a government that will most determinedly fight crime and corruption.
I told citizens that I no longer trust coalition partners, the Democratic Party and G17 Plus, that following February 17 they are ready to continue to honestly fight against the province's unilateral independence and that together we can continue our firm but only correct state-making and nationally responsibly policy.
Therefore, we returned our mandate to the people, and now it is up to the citizens to decide who they will entrust to guide state and national affairs,” the Prime Minister said in a statement.
