According to the final decision of the Serbian Electoral Committee, a total of 6,708,697 Serbian citizens have the right to vote. Another 9,178 citizens currently in the obligatory army service also have the right to vote, as well as 37,053 citizens living abroad and 8,201 citizens serving prison sentences.
During the pre-electoral silence any direct or concealed advertising of presidential candidates, their platforms and all political organisations is forbidden, as well as putting up promotional material within a 50 metre diameter from election stations.
On the election day, it is allowed to publish reports on where the candidates voted, but their statements cannot be broadcast.
It is also allowed to broadcast information concerning the number of citizens who voted and videos of state organs and NGOs informing citizens of where and how they can vote.
