Presidential elections scheduled for January 20

Serbian parliament Speaker Oliver Dulic scheduled elections for the President of the Republic of Serbia for January 20, while the runoff should be held on February 3.
The elections were called on the basis of the Law on the president of the republic and the Law on the election of the president, adopted in parliament on December 3.
Preconditions for holding the elections, since the new Constitution of Serbia was adopted last year, are the laws on defence, army, foreign affairs and security services, adopted by parliament on December 10.
