European Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn announced today that the EU has decided to initial the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) with Serbia tomorrow in Brussels.

Rehn told a press conference that he talked with Hague Tribunal’s Chief Prosecutor Carla Del Ponte who notified him that there is political will in Serbia as well as increased activities aimed at locating, arresting and extraditing Hague indictees who are still at large.
I have decided to initial the agreement with Serbia because it has an extraordinary economic potential just waiting to be freed. Serbia’s European perspective is realistic and sustainable, stressed the European Enlargement Commissioner.
