Cubrilo and French Minister of Immigration, Integration, National Identity and Cooperative Development Brice Hortefeux talked about the need for integrating, rather than assimilating the Serbian diaspora into French society, and improving studies of the Serbian language from elementary school.
In the talks with Minister of State responsible for Business and Foreign Trade at the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment Hervé Novelli, it was agreed that it is necessary to identify representatives of the Serbian diaspora who are at the head of French companies as bridges of economic cooperation between the two countries, Cubrilo said.
She said that more than 150,000 Serbs live in France and added that business cooperation with France is very good, but that it could be better.
France holds ninth place among Serbia's best business partners and the aim of our
visit is to convince both businessmen and institutions that they should invest more in Serbia so that they could be as competitive as Germany and Russia, Cubrilo said.
She will hold a presentation tomorrow at the seminar "Why to get interested in Serbia now" about the possible role of Serbian diaspora in France and French-Serbian economic relations.
The aim of the seminar is to present Serbia's commercial and industrial possibilities to French exporters and investors.
Tomorrow Cubrilo will travel to the US, to work on establishing cooperation between the Serbian diaspora, the US and Serbia.
