Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić talked today with Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia Zoran Stevanović about bilateral relations, the situation in the region, as well as the most important geopolitical issues.
Đurić underlined that cooperation in the economic, political and cultural fields, as well as in the European and regional context, is of exceptional importance for Serbia.
He underlined that Belgrade appreciates Slovenia's continued support in the European integration process so far, and expects that this support will be even more intense in the near future.
Serbia is ready to meet all the necessary conditions in the process of social reforms, he said, emphasising that the free flow of people, goods, capital and services in the region, with the simultaneous appropriate support and adaptation of the EU, would relax the relations and tensions that still exist.
According to him, our country advocates strengthening cooperation and stability in the region, resolving open issues from the past and overcoming differences, while respecting and preserving its national interests.
