Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Professor Dragan Glamočić, PhD, spoke today in Tbilisi, as part of an official visit of the Serbian delegation to Georgia, led by President of the Republic Aleksandar Vučić, with Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia David Songulashvili.

Boosting Serbia-Georgia links in field of agriculture

Possibilities for connecting scientific and professional institutions, exchanging knowledge, developing joint projects and applying modern technologies in agriculture were also discussed.
Although political relations between Serbia and Georgia are traditionally good and stable, the interlocutors assessed that economic cooperation, especially in the field of agriculture, has scope for significantly faster growth.
During the meeting, the potential for further expansion of cooperation in the field of seeds, planting material, fruit growing and viticulture was also highlighted, bearing in mind that both countries have a strong agricultural tradition and recognisable products on the international market.
Serbia expressed its readiness to make its knowledge and the capacities of its scientific research institutes available for joint development projects with partners from Georgia.
