Minister of European Integration Nemanja Starović participated today in Luxembourg in a ministerial meeting ahead of the EU’s General Affairs Council, dedicated to the European Democracy Shield initiative.
Starović emphasised Serbia’s readiness to participate in programmes that improve capacities in the field of cybersecurity and increase the level of media and digital literacy among the population.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the Minister met with several ministers for European affairs of the EU member states, who praised Serbia’s evident momentum in reform processes in recent months.
With the full implementation of the recommendations of the Venice Commission and the ODIHR, on which Serbia is working with dedication, space is opening up for the final establishment of a political consensus among member states, which would enable the country to make rapid progress in the process of EU accession, Starović said.
