The road is 3.3 km long and was built with funds from the National Investment Plan in the amount of RSD 60 million. The location on the Danube will be used to build a tourist centre which will include a marina and acqua park.
Dinkic pointed out that the state will continue to invest in infrastructure of the future complex and told citizens, most of whom are members of Slovak community, that they should stimulate private investors and offer their hospitality and traditional Slovak products such as sausage, strudel and home-made brandy.
He pointed out that it is necessary to invest in services, including tourist services, and added that the government intends to triple the budget to these purposes.
Speaking on tourism in Vojvodina Dinkic said that Palic, the Danube basin and Mt. Fruska Gora are particularly attractive and announced a cruise programme on the Danube.
Apart from the Minister, also present were Slovak Ambassador Igor Furdi and Backi Petrovac municipality president Jan Sabo.
