Serbian Assistant Minister of Defence Dusan Spasojevic is on a three-day working visit to the UK from today, during which he will hold talks with UK Armed Forces Minister Bob Ainsworth on Serbia’s defence policy and regional stability in the Balkans.
Earlier today Spasojevic met with UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s team of advisors at 10 Downing Street, and then attended the first session of parliament, which met after the summer break.
In parliament he talked with MPs and members of the parliament’s defence committee.
Spasojevic is scheduled to meet with Foreign Office officials tomorrow and will later hold a lecture at the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London.
On the third day of the visit Spasojevic will meet with Armed Forces Minister Bob Ainsworth.
Spasojevic travelled to London
after wrapping up a visit to Washington.
