Serbian parliament decided today with a majority vote to re-appoint Radovan Jelasic for National Bank of Serbia (NBS) Governor for the upcoming five-year term.

Jelasic was born in Baja, Hungary. He graduatd from the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade and mastered at Chicago’s University of Illionois.
Jelasic worked for Deutchebank in Frankfurt and McKinsey.
He was appointed Vice Governor of the National Bank of Yugoslavia, which in December 2002 became NBS.
Jelasic was appointed NBS Governor on February 25, 2004 and took on duty on March 1, 2004.
