Extraordinary parliament session scheduled for appointing governor

Serbian parliament speaker Oliver Dulic called an extraordinary parliament session to be held on September 25 at 2 pm, at which the appointment of the governor of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) will be considered.
The extraordinary session was demanded by 124 MPs, after the finance committee presented its recommendation for appointing governor of the NBS.
The committee proposed that the mandate of the current Governor of the NBS Radovan Jelasic should be extended for a further five years.
