The meeting is being held in the expectation of the annual report of the European Commission on Serbia's progress in the process of stabilisation and association, which should be released in early November.
Representatives of Serbia will give data on the reforms in the field of judiciary and the fight againts corruption, establishment of the administrative court and courts of appeal, and the functioning of the newly-formed institution of the ombudsman.
Other topics are enforcement of the Criminal Procedure Code and implementation of international conventions and the Action plan on the fight against corruption.
Taking into account Serbia's efforts to relax the visa regime for EU countries, Serbian government representatives will point to the implementation of European standards in the sector of border control, visas, asylums and migration, while the position of refugees and internally displaced persons will be examined separately.
Representatives of the Serbian Interior Ministry informed their collocutors about the implementation of the Law on police, fight against organised crime and terrorism.
The participants in the meeting will discuss the proposed legislative framework on protection of personal data, protection of human rights, cooperation with the ICTY and the course of trials for war crimes before domestic courts.
