Representatives of the Serbian Agency for Energy Efficiency, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) signed today, at the Third Energy Fair held at the Belgrade fairgrounds, the Memorandum of understanding that will enable better cooperation in the sectors of energy and ecology.
The Memorandum was signed by President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Milos Bugarin, President of the Chamber of Economy of BiH Avdo Rapa and Director of the Agency for Energy Efficiency Bojan Kovacic.
At the Third Energy Fair, which is being held under the auspices of the Serbian Ministry of Energy and Mining from September 12 to 14, 2007, the Serbian Agency for Energy Efficiency will offer support to the Belgrade Fair in the organisation of an important business event of the energy sector in the region.
Development of the Agency's cooperation with the Chambers of Commerce of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina will contribute to the process of stabilisation and association with the EU, which requires improvement of energy efficiency as one of the preconditions for obtaining EU candidate status.
The aim of the Memorandum is verification of the cooperation realised so far and its direction towards realisation of concrete projects. The cooperation will take place through exchange of information and joint realisastion of projects in the field of energy efficiency that contribute to the improvement of regional and sustainable development.
The Serbian Agency for Energy Efficiency continuously improves dialogue between the domestic and foreign professional public, chambers of commerce, and the public and civil sector.
