Milosavljevic told a press conference after visiting the health centre in Arandjelovac, in whose reconstruction RSD 45 million was invested from the National Investment Plan, that employment strategy in the health sector by 2010 will halve unemployment in this area.
By December 300 doctors and 700 nurses will be employed, along with 1,000 who were employed last year and 700 vacant places after retiring, the calculation shows that from the beginning of 2006 to the end of 2007 one doctor and three nurses found job every day.
Milosavljevic announced that by 2010 the Ministry will invest €200 million in the reconstruction of clinical centres in Belgrade, Kragujevac, Nis and Novi Sad.
According to him, so far the funds of the Ministry and the National Investment Plan amounting to €160 million were used for reconstruction of 161 health centres in Serbia.
The works in the Arandjelovac health centre started in November 2006 and were completed in June this year.
