International Youth Day observed

The central celebration on the International Youth Day was held yesterday on Belgrade’s Ada Ciganlija island, and was oriented towards showing the problems faced by young people and the efforts to find solutions for these problems.

Serbian State Secretary at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Vesna Piperski-Tucakov said that the ministry wishes to work on the problems faced by young people and make efforts to engage the youth in resolving them.
She said that these problems include unemployment, education, security, participation in decision-making.
This will be the most important part of the strategy for resolving problems faced by young people which should be adopted by the ministry, said Piperski-Tucakov.
The International Youth Day was also celebrated in 10 other cities of Serbia, within the framework of the campaign “Be Seen Be Heard”, which was organised by the Serbian Ministry of Youth and Sports and the UN Office in Serbia.
She said that these problems include unemployment, education, security, participation in decision-making.
