47th Dragacevo Brass Band Festival officially opens

Serbian Minister of Infrastructure Velimir Ilic today officially opened the 47th Brass Band Festival in Dragacevo and voiced hope that this year’s festival will have more visitors than previous ones.

Ilic stressed that the festival is being held under the auspices of the Serbian government and announced that the final celebration on August 12 will be opened by Republika Srpska Prime Minister Miroslav Dodik with Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica. He added that diplomatic representatives from several countries are also expected to arrive.
Deputy Parliament Speaker Miroljub Albijanic raised the festival flag to the sound of the festival’s hymn “From Ovcar and Kablar”, played by Jovica Pavlovic orchestra.
